The COVID-19 pandemic has had strong impacts as a continuous critical life event on everyday life and culture all over the world. People have been continuously challenged to cope with the changes provoked by the pandemic and measures of the governments and medical authorities. This webinar brings together international researchers who explore the challenges and coping of people of various cultures and religions with regard to the perceived changes in their well-being and spiritual practices as well as mental health.

Chair
He is a Catholic diocesan priest sand professor at the Faculty of Theology at Freiburg University. His field of research and teaching is Caritas Science and Christian Social Work. He is further a trained psychologist and psychological psychotherapist in private clinical practice, in addition to continuous pastoral ministry in parishes and jail, and serving on various scientific and advisory boards. He is Editor-in-Chief of the journal Religions.
Invited Speakers
He is a medical doctor and professor for quality of life, spirituality and coping at the Witten/Herdecke University and has been associated as a research professor at IUNCTUS - Competence Center for Christian Spirituality at the Philosophical-Theological University of Münster since 2016. He is co-editor of the German Journal for Oncology, on the Editorial Board of the journal Spiritual Care and Journal for the Study of Spirituality, and Editor-in-Chief of the journal Religions.
She is a professor of nursing at Cancer Research Center, Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, Tehran, Iran. Her main research field is scale development, palliative care, and spirituality in the context of cancer. She is associate editor of International Journal of Cancer Management.
Hadassah Medical Center, Faculty of Dental Medicine, Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel
He is a Professor in Public Health Dentistry with experience in community oral health promotion programs and clinical studies. Prof. Vered graduated his DMD in 1992, his MPH in 1999 and his specialty in public health dentistry in 2001. He was appointed as Head of the Department of Community Dentistry in 2019. Prof. Vered’s central areas of research activity have concentrated on psychosocial determinants of oral health, immigrant populations, preventive dentistry and oral health promotion, and clinical research of oral hygiene aids.
